Palworld Sky Islands (Sunreach): How to Get There & What You Find

The Sky Islands, called Sunreach in-game, are the floating islands added by Palworld 1.0. They hover above the cloud layer, over the Palpagos archipelago, forming a whole new playground built around aerial movement.

How to reach Sunreach

Sunreach unlocks as you progress and defeat a Tower Boss, which activates an Altar that lets you travel to the islands. According to early community reports, this is the Feybreak region Tower Boss (Bjorn and Bastigor), with the altar southwest of its tower. Sunreach also has its own towers to challenge, hidden above the clouds.

Traveling between the islands

Sunreach is made of several scattered floating islands. To cross them, 1.0 introduces the Wing Pack, a gear item that lets you glide and fight in mid-air without taking up a Pal party slot. A high-tier flying mount works too. Without flight, you can use the teleport altars to hop between islands. Watch out for the floating purple orbs: touching one teleports you to a random spot.

What's inside

Each island has its own Pals, villages and exploration content. You'll notably encounter rare flying variants and legendary sky bosses, including a sky dragon tied to the zone. It's one of the best places to find the new Pals of 1.0.

Prepare your exploration

Before heading up: equip the Wing Pack or ready a flying mount, pack healing items, and note the teleport altars so you don't get stranded. To identify the zone's Pals and the best fighters, check the Paldex and our tier list.

Sunreach is part of 1.0's expanded map, alongside the World Tree. Full recap in Palworld 1.0 is live.
